Green smoothies are a great way to get several servings of fruit and vegetables in one meal or snack. This is a great recipe from Blendtec, the high-powered blender that I use. This can be made with a traditional blender, but getting the consistency exactly right might require a little bit of pre-chopping, depending on the power of your blender. I love this for a refreshing snack or light meal replacement.
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 tbsp flaxseeds
- 2 clementines, peeled
- 1 banana
- 2 cups kale
- 1⁄2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- Place all ingredients in blender, with frozen pineapple last. Blend on high until smooth, or desired consistency.
