Green Flaxy Smoothie

Green smoothies are a great way to get several servings of fruit and vegetables in one meal or snack. This is a great recipe from Blendtec, the high-powered blender that I use. This can be made with a traditional blender, but getting the consistency exactly right might require a little bit of pre-chopping, depending on the power of your blender. I love this for a refreshing snack or light meal replacement.


Green Flaxy Smoothie
Adapted from Blendtec
  • 1⁄2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp flaxseeds
  • 2 clementines, peeled
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups kale
  • 1⁄2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  1. Place all ingredients in blender, with frozen pineapple last. Blend on high until smooth, or desired consistency.
